Special thanks to our generous supporters for contributing so wholeheartedly towards our Mission School Feeding programmes.
Your support means that children who set off to school without breakfast or a lunch-box can look forward to the nourishment they need to grow and learn.
One of the community kitchens we’ve been able to fund with your help is run by a kindly gogo (grandmother) from her own house. Her son is a community leader and staunch Catholic, who strives to improve the lives of his neighbours, especially the local children.
Those from poor families where there’s never enough food to go round are welcome to pop in on their way to school for a bowl of nutritious porridge … and then again on their way home, for a sandwich or cooked meal, depending on what is available.
This kindly grandmother uses her own kitchen, bowls and utensils – but needs help with ingredients like milk, instant maize porridge, bread, spreads, meat, rice and veggies.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children you will probably never meet. May God bless you for your kindness.
