Napier Centre for Healing update
Although renovations to the former Catholic boarding school at Ekukhanyeni – which will house the new Napier Centre for Healing – were completed successfully last year, raising sufficient money to cover running costs has been holding back the opening of the centre.
We are delighted to report that the Centre will soon be up and running. The first four candidates have been selected by Pearl Ramotsamai, who is responsible for the rehabilitation programme.
The initial staff team wills soon be recruited, comprising a married couple to live on site as ‘house parents’, a gardener, kitchen supervisor and social worker. Thank you to the many generous donors who stepped forward to turn into reality Cardinal Napier’s dream of helping former addicts who have completed a de-tox programme to continue their recovery and re-integration into society.
