This is my first communication as a Director of iKhwezi; I am delighted to contact you in that capacity.

I sincerely thank you for your continued support and unwavering generosity over many years. It is awe-inspiring to know that we have friends living so far from us, who care deeply. May God abundantly bless you for answering the call to support those in the grip of economic destitution and in so doing, relieve some of the pressure brought to bear on the Mission Parishes. Each of our 26 mission stations has a minimum of three outstations with approximately 1000 congregants, most of them unemployed. You can see why we value your contributions so highly.

With your Christmas donations we have managed to distribute many Baskets of Blessings; your gifts for the Easter Season have sustained our work in the missions. You have assisted with rubble removal and reconstruction in Tongaat following the Tornado and helped complete Saint Cecelia’s Church, an outstation of Father Mtshengiseni’s Parish.

In my previous message to you I introduced the iKhwezi Foundation, a part of the Archdiocese which will manage foreign donations and of which I am a Director. I am pleased to let you know that we have appointed two new Directors, Attorney Olivia Swardling and Doctor Thandeka Mbhele. I know that their expertise will assist in ensuring your donations are being used where there is an urgent need.

Because we are passionate about preserving the environment, I would value it if you would consider sharing your email address so that we can send you updates and newsletters via that channel. Drop a line to us and we will ensure you receive regular updates. Our email address is communications@ikhwezifoundation.org.za. Do not be concerned if you do not have an email account; we will continue communicating with you through the postal services.

In the same vein, if at all possible, we would be thankful if you made use of an electronic banking system for your donations. We have a link here on the Zulu Missions website to enable you to pay by credit card and we would be very grateful if you felt comfortable using it. Aside of the obvious advantage to the environment, we are trying to reduce the costs involved in processing donor payments for the Missions so that your hard-earned money can be better spent on those who need it.

If you visit the donate page here, you will find all the various project options.

I look forward to communicating with you on a regular basis via email and on our social media pages.

God bless you until then.
