Free Learning and Development at the Denis Hurley Centre
The late Archbishop Denis Hurley was a man of great compassion for the poor. And he would be well pleased by what is happening at the outreach Centre named for him.
The mission of the Denis Hurley Centre is to care for the homeless, those who are sick and live on the streets, those who are struggling with addiction, and refugees from war torn countries.
Upliftment and learning are also part of caring, and these new innovations have recently begun – free to those who need and want them. Deaf Awareness and Sign Language classes take place every Friday. Computer and English Coaching happens from Monday to Thursday. Those struggling with addiction can attend meetings in the Zulu language on Saturdays. The Arts have also been introduced in the form of Drama, Music, Guitar and Voice training.
Thank you to all who respond to Jesus’ voice teaching us that what we do to the least of his bretheren, we do unto Him.
