‘Bring a Friend when you come to Mass’. Archbishop Abel Gabuza calls Confirmation Candidates to Evangelise.

Since his arrival in Durban, Archbishop Abel Gabuza has been warmly welcomed on the missions.

Rural communities feel a great sense of pride when a Bishop comes to their area. There’s great excitement with singing, dancing and jubilation when he arrives, and if it’s for a special occasion like Confirmation, then the reception is even more joyful.

At recent Confirmation ceremonies Archbishop Abel has particularly encouraged the candidates to use their gift of receiving the Holy Spirit – not only to deepen their own faith, but to also to spread the Gospel, and take care of the environment.
