The Archdiocese of Durban is excited to announce the creation of the iKhwezi Foundation which will assist the Diocese in managing the Zulu Missions. In a first for the Church in South Africa, this will not only enable us to expand our donor base as well as our outreach projects, but it will also ensure that we comply with international regulations and good practice.
fter 30 years of democracy, our country stands at the crossroads. Our dream of a ‘rainbow nation’, where all our people could live in harmony, peace and prosperity is under threat – hampered by corruption, crumbling infrastructure and an ever-widening poverty gap.
But on Wednesday 29 May, South African go to the polls to elect a new government.
Please join us in praying for our country. At St Joseph’s, next door to the Chancery, we’ll be holding an all-day prayer vigil – starting with Mass at 9am South African time, and continuing with periods of quiet reflection, the Divine Mercy chaplet, praying the rosary and ending with benediction.
We invite you to join us virtually on our YouTube channel as we ask God to guide our people to make the right choices – so our country may be blessed with strong, capable and moral leaders, who will focus on poverty alleviation and much needed sustainable development.
Through Jesus Christ, we pray for Divine Intervention to ensure unity and peace among the leaders and the people, so that they may work together for the betterment of the country.
And if you would like to contribute towards our efforts to help rebuild our country and work towards poverty alleviation among the Zulu people, please click here to make your donation online.
